I was wondering about Am7 at the 2nd fret using a partial B minor shape with the index on the 5th string 2nd fret and 4th string 4th fret , and also using both 4th and 3rd strings 4th fret for Am9.

Never been able to play the B properly. I kinda bar with my third finger, and don't play the E string. I may hit it everynow and again, but it isn't noticeable. I may work on improving it soon. I can't bend my finger back like some can. I find it difficult to lay 3 fingers down, but I may try that some day.

I just research this again the single 25 or 6 to 4 was recorded in August of 1969 I'm not sure why I may have heard that recording then I just kind of remember how old I was and it was the first album I purchased with my own money I believe I purchased it in the summer of 1970 it was $8 at the grocery store

Shocked how my preference changed based on the playing style and instrument. The ANA was my favourite for strumming, the 414 for fingerstyle and the C451 for the nylon.

I'd better try and figure out the stupid micro looper then. It's been out of the box once. 😂😂😂

So if you are only ever playing the A string on open D chord, then why wouldn't you tune that string to something that works so you can play it in all those other positions, and instead of playing all strings open for D, you would have a 1 finger D chord? Maybe there is some tuning like this, got no idea.

B\F# is the best one, nobody ever uses it and if you can master the technique it will sound 100% acoustic and fresh

Tom - I'm sure you probably so some really good stuff, but this was a disappointment. I was hoping for some information on setting up the instrument, but only about 15 minutes out of this entire video is actually about how to play slide, and it seems most of that was about how to choose a slide to use and which finger to put it on.

Thanks for the lesson. I used to play guitar by ear. It was very painful and calloused my ear lobe. Watching this video has taught to use a plectrum instead and NEVER, NEVER the ear!

A month before I turned 61 I decided it was time to learn guitar. I was born with severe hearing lost in both ears and two years ago I got Cochlear Implant in my right ear. So, my primary challenge is my hearing lost and I ended up buying both Electric and Acoustic beginners guitar so I could recognize the difference between them. It’s definitely fun to learn in my own private room, and maybe one day I will have an audience. The Flame by Cheap Trick is definitely a song I would love to play one day.

I know that Roger McGuinn has mentioned he keeps his lower octave strings the original way on his Rick 12. Hitting the lower string first then the higher leaves a nice “ring” and/or “chime” effect
